Wilson World Fair and Carnival Games, food, and lots of fun. We also have expanded to add some enriching learning activities with art, enginieering, and more! October
Choir for 4th and 5th Graders LOVE TO SING? Sign up to be part of the Wilson Choir. 4th and 5th Graders can learn more about their singing voice, be in special performances, learn some awesome songs and have a great time singing with friends!! Fall
Clothing Swap Come to the Wilson Clothing Swap! Do you have clothes that your kids have outgrown but are still in great shape? If so, bring them to the “Swap” and exchange them for new-to-you clothes! Don’t have anything to swap? No worries, come and shop anyway! Don’t want to shop but have good stuff to donate? Great — there will be a box in the foyer of the school to collect. We are looking for sizes 3T to 12 in clothing and coats in good condition, and shoes in near-new condition. December
Craft Night Craft Night is an evening of crafting fun in the gym! Families can put their creative energies to use at a variety of crafting stations! December
Dance of the Decades (formerly Sock Hop) Join us for Dance of the Decades!  It will be a great time for kids and parents alike. Dig out your retro outfits, and dance to tunes from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. January
Discovery Nights Surrounding our school is a wonderful community of parents and neighbors who contribute much to a rich learning experience at Wilson Elementary. “Discovery Nights” is a program of events that run over fall and spring evenings, each bringing a community member into the school to make a short presentation on whatever their passion happens to be. Throughout the Year
Family Game Night Family Game Night, held during the annual spring Turn Off TV week, is an evening of fun and games held for Wilson students and families. It is a great way to meet new families and to have a great time while playing classics like “Clue” or “Pictionary” or to try out some new games. April
Family Story Time Celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday with a family story time! Come in your pajamas. March
Family Variety Night Family Variety Night is an opportunity for students to show off their talents individually, with their schoolmates or their families. May or June
Field Day On the last day of school, kids get a chance to play games like tug-o-war, run an obstacle course and fish for marbles with their toes. The 5th graders play beach ball volleyball against the teachers and at the end, the kids ceremoniously move up a grade. Last Day of School
Fifth Grade Field Trip to Outdoor School
Food Drive The Wilson Canned Food Drive usually runs the first two weeks in December. The proceeds benefit our Wilson families first and then the rest goes to Vina Moses. December
Kindergarten Ice Cream Social Held before school starts, the Ice Cream Social is an informal orientation for students and parents new to Wilson School. Kindergarten teachers will be on hand to welcome incoming Kindergarteners. September, before school starts
Knowledge Fair (formerly known as Art and Science Fair) This fun event is a great opportunity for students to explore and pursue their interests in art, science, and other areas of study such as historical figures or events, ancient civilizations, geography, and more. Students are allowed to submit one art project and one science or knowledge project. March
Slide Show At the end of the year, come and see Wilson at work and play! Last Day of School
Tasting Tables – Pick of the Month Tasting local, farm fresh food is an easy and fun way to introduce all students at school to healthy foods. Monthly tasting tables will be held in the cafeteria during school lunch so that all students can participate. Information and activity packets about each food item and the farm where it was grown will be distributed to teachers to enable them to expand on the tasting table in their classroom. Information and recipes will also be made available to families. For more information visit the Corvallis Environmental Center. Throughout the Year – Dates will be published to the Calendar as they become available.

Book Fair Fundraiser (Scholastic Book Fair) The Annual Wilson Book Fair is held in the Library. It is typically open daily during the lunch hour and after school. The Fair also has special evening hours one evening. All proceeds go to support the Wilson Library to purchase new and exciting adventures for all of our children to enjoy! November
Box Tops Fundraiser Collect ‘General Mills Boxtops for Education’ off of commonly used household products. Throughout the Year
Dine Out PTA Fundraisers Dine out at restaurants around Corvallis to raise money for fun family events like the Wilson Carnival, Sock Hop and Field Day. Dine out dates will be available near the beginning of the school year and will be listed on the calendar. Throughout the Year
Dine Out 5th Grade Field Trip Fundraiser- Papa’s Pizza Flyers will distributed at school for Papa’s Pizza. Bring one in and the fifth grade field trip fund will receive 50% of the value of the food you purchase! You also have the choice of purchasing Fundraiser Bucks that are good for all future purchases. These Bucks will earn 25% of their value for the fifth graders. Beverages and delivery orders are excluded. October
Dine Out 5th Grade Field Trip Fundraiser – Woodstocks Dine out at Woodstocks to raise money for the 5th Grade Field Trip. May
Escrip Fundraiser Click here to access online merchants: Our PTA automatically receives a percentage of your purchase. You do NOT have to be a member of eScrip to do this!Or, you can sign up at with EITHER your Safeway club card OR a credit/debit card. To register, go to, click on “Sign up Now,” enter Wilson ’s ID number (8568040), and enter your Safeway Club card number (or click “Next” to enter a credit card number instead). Then log in, and click on the “At the Online Mall.” Throughout the Year
Fun Run Fundraiser This fun event is the PTA’s biggest fundraiser of the year! Students first obtain pledges from friends and families, and then show their spirit and maximize their pledges by running laps in the gym. February
Market of Choice Fundraiser Market of Choice donates 2% of what eScrip members spend there to the members’ pre-selected schools.To get the 2%: You have to sign up to be an eScrip member by registering your debit or credit card at and choosing Wilson PTA as your beneficiary (our school ID number is # 8568040). Then, every time you shop at Market of Choice using that debit/credit card, 2% of what you spend automatically comes to our PTA! If you are already an eScrip member but only have your Safeway club card registered at eScrip, you need to add a debit or credit card that you will use when you shop at Market of Choice. Log on to your account at, click on “My eScrip,” and follow the links to add your debit or credit card. Throughout the Year
OneCause Fundraiser Wilson is also registered at OneCause, another support program that donates a percentage of your online purchases to Wilson. OneCause offers some additional online merchants that eScrip does not, like Land’s End and LL Bean. Register at Throughout the Year
Safeway Cards Fundraiser Register your Safeway Club Card online at eScrip, designate Wilson as your school-of-choice, and Wilson will receive 1-4% of the money you spend at Safeway. (You can do this AND use Safeway Scrip at the store). To register, go to, click on “Sign up Now,” enter Wilson’s ID number (8568040), and enter your Safeway Club card number. Throughout the Year
Scrip Scrip is a program in which parents, teachers, staff, family members, and friends of Wilson School, buy pre-paid shopping cards at no extra cost. How does it work? Wilson purchases Scrip from merchants at a discount, (ranging from 1% to 40%) then sells Scrip at face value to be used like cash. Download an order form and bring it to the Scrip Cart on Fridays after school, or to the office during normal office hours. Scrip is also sold at PTA meetings and PTA sponsored events.
